A green jasper became the centrepiece of a pendant which reminded me of Toltec myths. Made of leather with my favourite beads and black soutache.
This was a very complicated and time-consuming work. I compiled a book of national recipes printed out on cardboard which had to be bound somehow. I used a piece of leather for the cover and decorated with cut and burned
The bracelet is a restauration of the one bought in Venice twenty years ago. Shells and corals were left in their place, the base and the beads were replaced, as well as the fastener.
The second of my bracelets, it was made for a girl who was born in the year of the snake, according to the Eastern horoscope. So the green bead lines symbolize two snakes.
